Born and raised in London, Angelica is an Italian-American mezzo-soprano. In October 2019, she graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Master of Arts degree in Singing. She currently studies under the tutelage of Nuccia Focile and Dennis O’Neill. In 2015, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from King’s College London. She previously studied voice at Junior Guildhall and then privately with Nelly Miricioiu and Enas Massalha.
Recent engagements include covering the role of Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro) at The New Generation Festival in Florence, chorus in Iolanta with Opera Holland Park, Cenerentola (La Cenerentola) and Larina (Eugene Onegin) in the RCS MPerf Opera Scenes, chorus in Die Fledermaus with Iford Arts, Sesto (La clemenza di Tito) and Carmen in the RCS MPerf Opera Workshop and the alto solo in Mozart's Requiemwith Windsor & Eton Choral Society and the Brandenburg Sinfonia in Eton. Last year Angelica sang in the chorus of Don Giovanni and William Walton's Henry V at The New Generation Festival in Florence. She debuted the role of Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and sang as a soloist in a concert with the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. She also took part in British Youth Opera's 2018 Easter Opera Workshop where she worked on the role of Dorabella (Così fan tutte) in a staged scene.
In 2017, Angelica attended AIMS International Music School on a scholarship where she sang La Messaggera (L’Orfeo, Monteverdi) and Idamante in a staged scene of Idomeneo. She was also chosen to participate in the a masterclass with world-renowned mezzo-soprano Dame Ann Murray. Further stage experience includes Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily, Nancy (Martha, Flotow) with Brent Opera, Damigella & La Virtù (L’incoronazione di Poppea) with Hampstead Garden Opera, Flora (La traviata) and La badessa & La maestra delle novizie (Suor Angelica) at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival.
Angelica has participated in masterclasses led by Jennifer Larmore, Salvatore Fisichella, Mariella Devia and Tanja Baumgartner, and has worked with renowned conductors and coaches including Carlo Rizzi, Kamal Khan (the Met), David Gowland (ROH), Jonathan Santagada (ROH), Felice Venanzoni (Oper Frankfurt), Oliver John Ruthven (ETO) and Leonardo Catalanotto (Teatro Bellini).
